Over the years the idea of cloning has facinated and frightened some, here are the arguments.....
Those Against Cloning
Many are against the idea of cloning, both human and animal. In the case of humans is undermines the child's individuality, stealing away what makes everyone an individual. Cloned children may feel depressed, knowing that someone else has already played their life out for them.
The idea of cloning humans almost makes humans seem like objects. No longer are humans individual and created from love, but rather from scientists knowing exactly what they will look like and perhaps even act. The rich can get highly intelligent, model babies, pure objects of wealth. Human cloning could also cause separation in families. A child he or she is not from the same genetics as its family members could cause social problems, similar to what some adopted children feel.
Human cloning also treads on many religious beliefs. For example, many Christians feel that scientists cloning human is a bit too much like playing God. Humans were meant to be imperfect, but could cloning bring about a perfect human?
Many feel animal cloning to be a violation of animal rights. Animal cloning underminds natures intent and could cause an upset in the diversity of each species. Animals will become customized tools, rather than individual, living creatures.
Those for cloning
There are also others who believe in animal cloning. They feel that animal cloning could bring about new medical treatments for animals as well as humans. Presevation of genetic strengh is another possible factor that cloning could lead to. Animal cloning could help save human lives. Scientists are working with piglets right now for organ transplants. Cloning could also help generate new skin grafts for burn victims and bone marrow for others. Scientists also believe that cloning could help find a cure for Alzeimers or Parkinson's disease.
The few who do believe in human cloning believe that this technology will help infertile couples get children. In fact Dr. Antinori of Italy is conducting a human cloning experiment (this is illegal in the U.S) He says that 200 couples are willing to let him create children for them.

My View
Personally I am against human cloning and some types of animal cloning. The thought of human cloning is just scary! I know that I don't want to see a clone of JFK or Elvis walking down the street(this is hypothetical of course) Cloning devalues people. Would you like a clone of yourself? Anyways....you get the point. I don't want to see animals clone for organ harvest, fur coats, food, make-up testing etc. I'm really big on animal rights and it seems wrong to create a living, breathing creature only to chop it up or inject poisions into. Animals feel pain too! Dolly is an exception though. I believe in cloning for scientific study if it dosen't harm the animal(blood tests and whatnot are fine) especially if it can help find cures for diseases! Hope you enjoyed my opinions!
